THE RED BOW PROJECT |
The Garden Club began hand making Red
Bows several years ago
as a money-making project to help pay for new Holiday decorations
for the 3 ILE entrances. The purchased bows were used to decorate
resident’s mailboxes and property entrances.
But again his year, as a Service Project for our community, we
attached them to all the mailboxes. We have been working hard
measuring, cutting, notching and tying another 100 bows to complete
all 550-600 mailboxes.
Our community looks so festive with the red bows on all the
mailboxes that we have decided to HAVE EACH RESIDENT
REMOVE the bows in January, store them all year, and we are
hopeful that we'll all reattach them next year.
Please remove
the bows between Thursday, January 3rd and Friday, January 5th.
Thanks for you community support for the bow project which allowed
for the entrance decorations to be acquired and double thanks to the
garden club members for decorating the subdivision each year!

Welcome@ILEGardenClub.org

Garden Club members visited the County Extension service
for a presentation on water conservation methods.
A 2000 Sq foot home can capture 50,000
gallons of rain water in a year!
We also enjoyed touring the many
demonstration gardens , maintained by the army of county Master Gardeners.
